Most alterations are normally completed in less than seven days. The exact timing depends on the total volume and complexity of work in the shop.

48-hour service

How our pricing works
Fair pricing starts with seeing the garment.
“Shortening” might mean jeans, plain trousers, lined trousers or trousers with turn-ups. They sound like the same job, but the construction, method and time can be very different.

Individually pricedWe examine your garment and quote for the specific work it needs.
No inflated standard priceWe don’t use one high rate based on the most complicated version of a job, so simpler work isn’t charged as though it were the worst case.
A photograph is not enough. It cannot show internal construction, layers, linings or how the garment needs to be opened and rebuilt. Bring the item into the shop and we can assess it properly.
Payment: For everyday alterations, pay in full at drop-off or pay 50% then and the balance when you collect.

Do I need an appointment?
No. Everyday alterations, repairs, leather and curtain work are all walk-in services.
Do you have availability?
Yes—we always accept new work. There is no need to email and ask; simply bring the item into the shop.
Can you quote from a photograph?
No. Two garments can look almost identical from the outside but be constructed completely differently. We need to examine the actual item before giving an accurate price.
What is the difference between alterations and tailoring?
Alterations adjust or repair an existing garment. Tailoring focuses on precise shaping to create a more individual, bespoke fit. We’ll assess your garment and explain the work it needs.
What should I bring?
Bring the garment and any shoes, underwear or matching pieces that affect its length or fit. Everyday alterations are walk-in, so no appointment is needed.
How long will my alteration take?
