Each year, more than 85 brides, 150 bridesmaids and a similar number of grooms trust us with their wedding alterations.

Please allow at least 10 weeks. Wedding season gets busy and your dress may require more than one fitting.
What happens next
A fitting built around your dress
1. Book your fitting
Brides and bridesmaids book online. The fitting payment taken at booking is deducted from your bill in the shop.
2. Bring the full outfit
Bring the shoes and underwear you intend to wear. They can materially affect length, shape and fit.
3. Agree the work
We examine the dress while it is being worn, explain what is needed and price the actual work before alterations begin.
Fairer than a fixed dress price
No two dresses are constructed the same way.
Two dresses can look nearly identical yet require very different work. Layers, linings, lace, boning, beading, structure and finishing all affect how an alteration must be completed.
No guesswork from photographsA photograph cannot show how a dress is built inside. We must see it being worn before confirming the work and price.
You pay for your workWe do not set one high dress price that makes people with simpler work subsidise more complex alterations.
Spread the costPay 50% at your first visit, minus the fitting payment; 25% at the next fitting; and the balance on collection. You can also pay in full.

Wedding fittings
Who needs to book?
Wedding-dress and bridesmaid-dress fittings must be booked. Grooms, best men and other wedding-party customers can simply walk in.
Why is there a fitting payment?
The payment secures the specialist fitting time. It is deducted from your alteration bill in the shop.
Can I send a photograph for a quote?
No. Photographs do not reveal the internal construction, layers or finishing methods. We need to see the dress and how it fits before giving an accurate price.
What should I bring?
Bring the shoes and underwear you will wear on the day. If accessories affect the fit or length, bring those too.
Do you clean wedding dresses?
Yes. Wedding dresses are cleaned individually by our specialist dry-cleaning partner. See the dry-cleaning page for details.
